2007
In
2006 we were lucky enough to have the use of the lovely golden dun
stallion Kerswell Muscat (loaned from the Halstock/Blackerton Stud).
So this spring we were eagerly awaiting the arrival of his foals.
June
8 2007 Royal Cornwall Show. Mignon Poppy again won 3rd prize.
Between June and September we went to several shows, taking Mignon
Poppy and the yearling Onahill Quickilver. Both ponies won numerous
rosettes. The final show was at Crealy, near Exeter, where our
piebald Birchwood Gypsophelia won the mare class. A very good end
to the showing season.
In
May 2007, the lovely tri-coloured stallion, South Sands Pip, came to
for the summer, kindly on loan from the Halstock stud. We look
forward to seeing his foals next spring."
19
May - Devon County Show, 3 year old filly, colt or gelding class.
Mignon Poppy won 3rd prize which is a great result for a homebred
pony. We were really pleased!
06/05/2007.
This marked the start of the show season for us with a visit to the
Crealy Shetland Show near Exeter. We took only one pony, Mignon
Poppy and are pleased to report that she came 1st in the Owner Bred
class and was 3rd in the 2 year old class. Not a bad start to the
year and let's hope it continues this well,
08/04/2007.
On Easter Monday we were surprised to find that one of our mares,
Birchwood Prettiness, had foaled 4 weeks early to give us the most
gorgeous cream dun colt. He was only 18" high when born but what he
lacks in height he makes up for with personality.
2006
After a
long, cold and wet winter, at last spring has arrived and with our
new foals. These are all sired by the piebald stallion Parlington
Orson. Firstly, on May 1st, our homebred mare Mignon Hannah
produced a lovely chestnut and white skewbald filly. She was
followed, on May 6th, by a super, tiny, pibald colt from Birchwood
Gypsophelia. On May 9th, Tawna PomPom gave us our 3rd baby, another
skewbald filly. More details can be found on the
Foal pages.
2005
2005 has brought us
3 lovely foals all by New Park Sundance.
Also this year, we have with our mares, on loan from David Hodge of
the Halstock Stud, the piebald stallion Parlington Orson. He will
introduce some completely new blood to our breeding programme.
